Dax's cinematography in "Catch The Rain" is inspired by darkness and flames to celebrate the departed. This rapper here is extremely relatable when he confesses that, like me, he also has an obsession with the concept of time... "The pain never goes away" (it just gets smaller everyday) and that pain is elevated through a constant use of reverb that also conveys a prophetic or even divine feeling. Once again, Dax's technical performance behind the microphone is close to perfection in this layered banger that doesn't shy away from riding out the storm accompanied by a sober and commendable minimalist production.
