Cris Cain is a diverse musician, engineer, producer, and entrepreneur.

A huge believer in God, he claims it was GODS blessing that allowed him at the age of 15 to meet and work with Major artist, Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe Fred The Godson, and Murda Mook. He also engineered for Bad Boy South/ BLOCK ENt at just the age of 16.

2. What is "Power Up" and why does it feel so epic?

Power up feels so epic , because it literally tells the story of Cris Cain's life right now and the song tells the story of how he had to POWER UP, especially after all the recent trials And tribulations in his last recent years

3. What's your top hip - hop albums of all time?

...

4. What’s the best advice you ever gave?

The best advice I ever gave is , put trust in God , at least Try, I mean REALLY Try to have that faith in God first, and somehow, someway, everything will start to fall in place .

5. How is your experience as an indie artist going?

My experience as an indie artist is like a Sine wave, ups, downs, curves lol. But in the end and forever, whats always going up must come down . I was waiting before but im impatient now , im ready to reach my peak, and keep rising from here on. Im ready for the roller coaster

6. Who was playing on your headphones when you were growing up?

When I was Young as far as I could remember Bob Marley was my favorite artist. When the genre changed, Biggie Smalls , born on the same day as me 5/21 , was a major motivation to me , but so was his rival . I really felt the life of both of those two. Jay z, also from Brooklyn was automatically next in line...

Then when I moved to Columbia South Carolina at the age of 13 it was, young jeezy and Gucci . And Wayne. When I moved back to Brooklyn at 17 , Drake started doing too much 🤦🏾‍♂️

7. Who's your favorite artist from the trap scene?

Definitely Jeezy, Gucci, Shawty Lo, Future, Young Thug

Definitely consider myself a Life Nerd , but music is just a major part of my life

City of God

10. Do you agree with the Pigeon?

I agree with pigeon today but ima Gemini but I might not tomorrow . 🤦🏾‍♂️

Review

"Power Up" reigns over the night with a skeletal minimalist beat and autotune used as an artistic tool to add much-needed melodic layers, and this type of production is extremely efficient as it doesn't allow for any bullshit! With a braggadocios and egocentric attitude, Cris Cain reveals himself to be a real boss. I just want to blow one, and smoke one while listening to Cain's abused epic drills that turn me into a womanizing gangsta king who has trampled all his enemies underfoot and who has an iron throne and a court of bitches to spin for years and years...
