From North County San Diego, Zero Trace sharpen their beatdown-metallic hardcore attack into something leaner and angrier across three 2025 singles.

For me, Zero Trace are strongest when they sound like they are running out of patience. On SPRING PROMO, SOILED, and NO REDEMPTION, I hear a band working squarely inside beatdown hardcore, metalcore, and metallic punk, and using those ingredients with discipline. SPRING PROMO is the clearest statement. Three tracks, ten minutes, and no wasted motion. With lyrics on “Day After Day,” “Can’t Look Away,” and “Settle The Score” circling burnout, digital fatigue, and severed ties.

What grabs me is how direct the writing is in NO REDEMPTION. It hits like a locked door slamming shut! Its 2:38 runtime matces the record’s refusal to linger, while the band showcases a blunt force of the material!

Compared with Common Ground, these singles feel more like a band narrowing its range to what hurts most. That focus gives the trio real momentum, and it makes SOILED feel the next bruise in the same fight.
