The #233 edition of Pigeon Spins Pop is here! This time featuring the single Under The Stars, an interview with Sophia Bolinder, and More!

Sophia Bolinder (feat. John Soul) - Under The Stars

"Under The Stars" promises to mesmerize fans with its soft and sexy R&B-intro, complemented by a stardust-effect that sets the mood for an unforgettable musical journey. Sophia and John Soul's second successful duet beautifully encapsulates a story of unwavering love that transcends boundaries of time and place. With a male lead initiating the narrative and the female voice responding in the second verse, this track is a testament to their dedication to creating a timeless and alluring sound that resonates with the essence of classic R&B and soul music.

Interview with Sophia Bolinder

(•)> Cru cru! What first got you into music?

I have always wanted to get into the music business, since I was a child. Music has been the biggest joy of my life, my safe space, the place I can always return to. I have always loved to sing and wanted to produce and record albums since a very early age. I was so happy when I found my current producer who also had soul and R&B as his favorite genre.

(•)> What's your favorite album of all time?

It's hard to pick one but I would have to say Stevie Wonder's 'Songs in the key of life' because it's just pure genius all through.

(•)> What record from the 2020's do you replay the most?

I would have to say Adele's 30, amazing album Al through. I especially love "Love is A Game", incredibly underrated song.

(•)> What should the Pigeon listen to next?

Of course my next single, hopefully releasing it in beginning or middle of July! It will be a soul/funk/disco/R&B coctail, hopefully the dance banger of the summer!

(•)> What memorable answers have you had to your work so far?

It was a huge honor when a critic said our song 'What I Want ' was a masterclass in modern R&B!

(•)> Who is your inspiration when creating music?

I have so many inspirations! I love Chaka Khan, Adele, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin... It's hard to pick among the greats!

(•)> Which film do you rewatch the most?

I have a few go-to movies haha, Titanic, Grease and Forrest Gump among the tops favorites!

(•)> How is your perfect day?

Waking up late (I'm not a morning person), enjoying a good cup of coffee, creating music in the studio and ending it by relaxing at home in front of a great series or movie!

(•)> Will you tell us something embarassing about you?

Where do I start lol, I like dorky stuff and especially karaoke.

(•)> Do you sing in the shower? If yes, what's the setlist?

Of course. A lot of big ballads from Céline Dion or Mariah Carey (duh).

(•)> What's your Hot Take - your most controversial music opinion?

I am not a fan of a really famous artist's music, but not revealing whom.
