Mick J. Clark - It's Christmas Party Time
Interview with Mick J. Clark

(º)> What drives you to keep creating music across so many genres after writing more than 60 songs and achieving international chart success?
I haven't achieved a Hit Record in the main UK Singles Chart yet :-(
(º)> How does ‘It’s Christmas Party Time’ capture your personal vision of Christmas, and what do you want listeners to feel the moment they hear it?
I love fun and laughter because staying happy, you are giving it 'straight back to life', which likes to 'bear down on you, with stress and pressure I give it right back, and 'Party on' :-) I want everyone to be happy, live, laugh, and love.
(º)> Making the official 64th Grammy nominations is huge. How did that recognition change your confidence or direction as an artist?
Nothing changes me, good or bad, every day. Just always be nice. I love being nice and having a laugh, but I am more than well-equipped; if I get an insult, I would probably walk away. I know exactly who I am, thank you.
(º)> With deals secured at Warner Chappell, Universal and Wrokdown Records. What do you believe sets your songwriting apart in today’s crowded music industry?
Everyone thinks 'their songs' are great and I am no exception, they may sound a bit '80s', but I really believe in my 'songs. I do the melody and the lyrics, and they all have a story/message/point and humour, in some :-)
(º)> Your music has reached charts in both the UK and the USA. What message or sound do you think resonates globally with your audience?
None of my songs have been in the UK or USA Charts, that is what I am focused on achieving, hopefully.

(º)> From radio play on BBC stations to placements in film and schools. How important is it to you that your music creates real world impact beyond entertainment?
All my songs are different, but I spend hours getting every phrase, pause, lyric, the way it starts, the way it ends, every guitar solo, I do them all, and hopefully it shows.
(º)> Can you talk about the emotional meaning behind your children’s empowerment song ‘Me My Body And I’? And what does it mean to see it adopted by schools?
I am very aware of what is going on today, if you are 'able to do something', you must as an adult 'a man 'make sure you never cause harm or distress to any other man, woman or child.
On Bullying,
The Croydon Education Dept put:
‘Me My Body And I‘ By Mick J. Clark
into all the Schools in Croydon, Surrey and Leethan Bartholomew of the National FGM Centre has accepted this song because FGM is mentioned in the song. Approximately 65% of women aged 15-49 years in Ethiopia have undergone FGM. This barbaric culture has got to stop.
Empowering Song for Children’ against Self Harming and Bullying.
(And yes Life can be a Bully as well).
Using the 'lyrics' in Songs to influence and help children should be seriously looked at.
If you’ve been Bullied, you now need 'a Voice' picking you up, giving you back your confidence and self worth' and getting you back thinking positive. Telling the child all the things ‘they need to hear’.
Vaping sees children as young as 11 treated as hospital patients
You Don’t Look Cool by Teenagers. (Kids Telling Kids don’t Smoke/Vape/Drugs).
Prof Rachel Isba who runs a newly created clinic for vaping addiction at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital on Merseyside, said that they are treating kids as young as 11.
So, yes, I am hoping 'songs' can get important messages 'delivered '!!
(º)> With your music now entering film. TV. and commercials. How do you see visual storytelling enhancing the power of your songs?
I really enjoy 'painting a picture' with lyrics in my songs.
(º)> As you prepare for your 2026 tour and an upcoming TV special. What can fans expect from a live Mick J. Clark performance?
A complete 'car crash' :-0 I am going to be on Sky TV in Feb or March,. I can either be a complete clown, which I enjoy being, or this frustrated human being at so much 'cruelty' in this World', that will be good for the ratings :-)
(º)> After achieving over a million Spotify streams and multiple chart placements. what is the ultimate legacy you hope your music will leave behind?
To know my songs have been liked by hundreds or even thousands of people 'for ever after I'm gone', would be fantastic, but to do some good in in life with my songs, not just making people happy, helping to stop Drug taking, FGM or Polluting this wonderfull Planet, now that would be something!!
