(•)> How does this flagship track set the tone for your upcoming album?

« Good Day » includes every aspects of the sound and mood we set for our first album, mixing gritty guitars with melacholic voicelines while delivering powerfull chorus.

(•)> What emotions or ideas were you hoping to capture when blending sadness with heaviness?

Our sound reflects the concept of duality, which is a big inspiration for the themes and lyrics of this album. Going trough dark times can also include some glimpse of hope along the way, that’s what we wanted to express. « Good day » is a track about self introspection, the kind of conversation that goes in our heads, when we try to convince ourselves that even if we’re feeling down we will find a way to rise again.

(•)> Can you describe the process of crafting a chorus that’s both emotional and unforgettable?

While writing the song we tried different voice lines and we wanted to include some kind of repetition as a way to contrast the « laments » of the verses…

(•)> How do you balance the contrast between melancholy verses and a powerful hook?

Going minimal in the verse with vocals and a single guitar is an effective way to empower the chorus by bringing more elements. We want to « overwhelm » the listener with a wall of sound entering in the chorus to further reinforce the feeling of duality we can go trough while being in a bad place

(•)> In what ways does this song represent your evolution as a band?

« Good day » marks the moment we decided to write « a catchy song », simplicity and effectiveness without going too deep in the production. To write something sincere that want to make you sing from the top of your lungs

(•)> What message or story ties this single to the larger album concept?

With this first album we wanted to tell a story everyone could relate to. Through our music videos we gave some hints of what is happening, people who read between the lines might see the bigger picture that is unraveling step by step. As stated previously, « good day » is one of the pieces of the story where our « protagonist » goes into introspection. He is coming to the realisation that things have not been great but he can always rise up and try to move on.

(•)> What kind of visibility or platforms are you hoping to reach with this release?

We hope people might discover us through this song, entering in our world and the story we want to tell. Our songs, lyrics and music videos are crafted to tell a bigger story. Wether it’s through social platforms or streaming services we want to reach the people that have gone through this state of mind and find comfort in our music.

(•)> How did your production choices help bring out the emotional intensity of the track?

Our Guitar player / Lead singer / Sound engineer Matthieu Leclercq is behind the production of every songs. He uses hardware in unsual ways on different aspects of the song. The way he approaches production is unconventional and always trying to put forward emotions rather than having a « clean mix ».

(•)> How has early feedback shaped your confidence or direction for the rest of the album?

We’ve released 5 singles in the span of 2 years before « good day », we’ve gone through some doubts and rewritting but since we started this project feedback has been positive. We wanted to bring something new yet quite nostalgic of the early alt-rock. Coming from the metal scene, people who knew us from previous project wether really like it or not. We wanted to try something different, music we love to make and in the end we’re pleased with the path we took.

(•)> What should fans expect next as the album rollout continues?

Our next single will come alongside the release of the album. While being completely different from the rest of the album, it stands as one of our favorite.
