LESS - Hellya

“Hellya!” is a raw, rock-infused outburst born from a moment of deep apathy and creative frustration. The track blends emotional intensity with a bold, energetic sound that marks a new, definitive direction in my artistry. It captures the urge to break free from personal and cultural constraints and reclaim music as pure expression. With its powerful arrangement and unapologetic mood, “Hellya!” speaks to listeners who seek authenticity, emotional depth, and a strong artistic identity.

Interview with LESS

º)> “Hellya!” is a powerful rock track born from apathy and frustration. How do personal experiences and emotional struggles shape your music?

It’s really a mix of everything, feelings, rough times, stress. More than looking for inspiration, I try to let things out in a constructive way. I think it’s essential to keep living experiences, all kinds of them, and then turn them into music, something universal. My songs are mainly based on my life, so the best way to find inspiration is simply to live. The words just come on their own after that.

º)> Your journey spans multiple cities, family changes, and self-discovery. How do these life experiences influence your songwriting and artistic identity?

I think that’s one of the main reasons I started writing in the first place, being far from home and never really feeling like I belonged anywhere. Not long after, I started hearing melodies that naturally came along with the words.º)> Your sound mixes introspective lyrics with psychedelic rock arrangements. How do you balance vulnerability and intensity in your music to connect with listeners.

That means a lot. I just hope each listener can take away their own interpretation through the emotional link between the musical colours and lyrics. If that happens, it means I’ve managed to communicate something real.

º)> The pandemic pushed you to home recording and collaboration with producers like Lorenzo Santi and Federico Maremmi. How did this period affect your creative growth?

I found out that while many people were stuck or feeling sorry for themselves, I just kept writing and making music. Then, by chance, what I created during lockdown led me to meet the people who are now my producers, and their work actually changed everything: from the way I write, to how I sing and compose.

º)> From melancholic ballads to energetic rock anthems, your music evolves with each release. What can listeners expect next from Less and your band?

After Instead of Making Love, and this new single, Hell Ya, there will be a couple of more rocky singles out soon before the album release in march. Then hope to have the chance to showcase those numbers live in Europe.
