(º)> What inspired "Walking Through An Average Night"?

It was on a day, before going to a recreational center, I wanted to make some music. I was walking back and forth when I heard the beat, and knew it was a hit.

(º)> When you wrote it, were you reflecting on a real moment or imagining a feeling?

I didn't write but sung it in one take. I was capturing all the moments I felt when singing which were overthinking thoughts, etc.

(º)> How does this song capture where you are right now as an artist?

 It captures my sonic aspect. I'm trying to make rock, pop, jazz, soul, etc. I'm loving the live instrumentation aspect.

(º)> What part of the song took the longest to get right?

 I did the song in one take, in less than 30 minutes, but the mastering part of the song took the longest. Certain vocals I wanted to sound reverb-y.

(º)> Did you know from the start what mood or sound you wanted for it?

Yes. I wanted something rock-ish at first. Something that shakes a stadium. But then I heard the track and wanted something in tone of my singing voice.

(º)> How did your Texas roots influence the tone or storytelling in this track?

Well my Texas roots actually didn't come into play here. But I took aspiration from the theme of having a good time.

(º)> What does “an average night” represent to you in the context of the song?

An average night is something... I don't know how to explain. Maybe not a lot of drama, no thunderstorms, just... average you know?

(º)> Was there a specific emotion you wanted the listener to sit with by the end?

Yesss. Like they want to do something with their lives. But most importantly within the song's after feeling, is rocking out! I added the "whoo" vocals in the back for that whole second chorus finale type of thing

(º)> If this song had a visual setting, what would it look like?

 My mom explained a road-trip feeling when listening to it after I showed her the song. I think that describes it best.

(º)> How do you hope people feel after hearing "Walking Through An Average Night" for the first time?
