Why is this release noteworthy?
It's an upbeat recording with energy and momentum.
What inspired the artist to create this music?
The music reflected the amazing world of inner cityscapes - the sounds, the heartbeat, and the
people who give life to the artistry found there.
What can listeners expect from the release?
Music that engages with spirit and flair - an appreciation of urban environments.
What is the story behind the release?
The track was recorded using an Arturia Mini Freak synthesizer, a Push 2, an MPC Live 2 module and an electric guitar to emphasize emotional build-up. Through a number of effects plugins, like
Guitar Rig 7 and cluster delayed reverb, the song was crafted with a heightened awareness for
positive energy. Molten Diode added some necessary grit - at least I thought it was necessary. :)
Premastered through Ableton Live with bx-digital V3, "Mezmer Eyes" was mastered in the final
version you hear by Michael Southard, who also produces music under the name Time Rival, and
released via the Triplicate Records label.
What makes the release stand out from others?
The music offers unique rhythms with surprisingly modern shifts of sound - thrilling, hypnotic,
enticing, sensual, and a little bit dangerous too.
