The image of scattered islands surrounded by an immense sea. The sea is both a refuge and a threat — memory and movement at the same time.

In the song, it becomes a metaphor for our world: beautiful, unstable, and fragile.

By refusing despair.

Tenderness is a form of resistance. I focused on intimacy, human connections, and those fragile bonds that still allow us to hope.

(•)> You recorded the single in your home studio and played multiple instruments yourself. What did that process allow you to express that a larger studio might not?

Freedom.

The freedom to keep imperfections, silences, and instinct. The song breathes more when it isn’t over-polished. Most importantly, the sound matches the original creation exactly, without intermediaries.

(•)> Your music carries a strong sense of atmosphere and space. How important is soundscape-building to your songwriting?

I compose landscapes rather than just songs. Space, silence, and restraint are essential for allowing emotion to exist.

(•)> Artists like Dominique A, Daho, and Higelin are cited as influences. How do their legacies filter into your work without overwhelming your own voice?

They taught me sincerity and restraint.

Their influence is more about attitude than style. My writing remains firmly anchored in the present.

Yes, but an instinctive one.

I use my voice as an emotional texture, often close to a whisper, to remain human and direct.

It confirmed one thing for me: sincerity resonates.

My writing has evolved. 122° Fahrenheit and À Contretemps helped me refine my style. Archipels Fragiles extends that approach in a more intimate way.

Human relationships.

By refusing cynicism.
