Blair Emmanuel Sparrow is a Canadian singer-songwriter, professional recording artist, and producer from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He is a lifelong songwriter and legendary 12 string guitar player. A hook writer known for his earworms and anthems, ballad songs and sing-alongs. He is the nephew of Canadian folk icon Allister Macgillivray and cousin of the award winning The Cottars. His band is called "Sounds Like Awesome". He's quickly becoming a household name Worldwide with monthly listeners in over 100 countries on Spotify.

(º)> Your hooks are certified earworms. What’s your secret to writing melodies that people can’t shake?
I've had a connection with hooky music my entire life and hear the music in my head, both lyrics and melody.
(º)> You come from a powerhouse musical family. What’s the best piece of advice you ever got from Allister MacGillivray?
The best piece of music advice actually came from Allister brother, Neil who gave me an old Gibson and told me I got what it takes.

(º)> Sounds Like Awesome is an iconic band name. What moment made you say “yep, that’s it”?
Just all the questions with Sounds Like? Sounds Like Awesome was born.
(º)> Your music is charting in over 100 countries. What’s the wildest place you’ve learned a fan is listening from?
The Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand are all pretty wild.
(º)> As a lifelong Cape Breton songwriter, how does the island still show up in your sound today?
In my accent and my intensity for sure.

(º)> Anthem, ballad, or sing-along Which style feels most like “home” when you’re writing?
I love to write songs that really connect with people. That's always my goal in songs. If I can make someone feel through the music.
