“Help Me Find a Reason” carries a strong message of resilience. What personal experiences shaped the heart of this song?

This song was shaped by my twenties and the reality of trying to build a career as an independent artist. Starting is not easy. There are moments of doubt, financial pressure, creative uncertainty, and questioning whether you are on the right path. I wrote it during a period when I felt close to giving up and was searching for even the smallest reason to keep going. That is exactly why it is called Help Me Find a Reason. It captures that fragile space between wanting to stop and choosing to continue.

The track evolved from an acoustic idea into a pop-rock power anthem. What did that transformation unlock emotionally for you?

The transformation gave the song scale and emotional intensity. The acoustic version felt intimate and vulnerable, but developing it into a pop-rock anthem added power, dynamics, and colour. It amplified the feeling of pushing through adversity. Sonically, it mirrors the emotional journey of the lyrics, moving from introspection to strength.

You have built a reputation as a versatile live performer in London. How does performing the song live compare to recording it?

I genuinely love both experiences, but they are very different. Performing live is immediate and electric. You feed off the audience’s energy, and there is something raw and real about that exchange. Recording in the studio feels more intimate and internal. I connect more deeply with the song itself and with my own emotions. Live performance connects me to the audience, while the studio connects me to the core of the story.

Having grown up in Croatia and built your career in London, how have those different environments influenced your artistic voice?

Growing up in Croatia gave me perspective and a sense of ambition. Coming from a small coastal town and then moving to one of the world’s most competitive music capitals shaped my resilience. Musically, I grew up listening primarily to English-language and American artists, so my influences were always international. Living in different environments and being well-traveled has expanded my worldview, and that naturally informs my storytelling and artistic voice.

Your work balances emotional depth with commercial awareness. How do you navigate authenticity while reaching a wider audience?

For me, authenticity comes first. I always follow my instinct and write from a genuine emotional place. At the same time, I am aware of production choices, structure, and sonic direction that can make a song accessible to a broader audience. I listen to feedback and consider what listeners respond to, but I never compromise the emotional truth of the song. It is about finding alignment between personal expression and professional strategy.

This release offers the first glimpse into your upcoming EP. What themes connect the four songs within the project?

I cannot reveal the EP title just yet, but the four songs are connected by the themes of hope, resilience, and personal growth. They reflect different chapters of my journey as an artist and as a person. Each track explores a different emotional angle, but together they form a cohesive narrative about moving forward despite uncertainty.

You have worked as a radio presenter and interviewer. How has being on the other side of the microphone shaped you as an artist?

It shaped me significantly. Working with other artists, interviewing them, and curating music gave me a deeper understanding of the industry and of artistic storytelling. It also reinforced the importance of community. I believe artists should support each other whenever possible. Being on the other side of the microphone made me more articulate about my own work and more aware of how music is received.

Your music often focuses on hope and forward movement. What do you hope listeners take away after hearing this track?

I hope listeners turn to this song when they need strength. I want it to feel uplifting and reassuring. If someone is going through a difficult period, I hope it reminds them that searching for hope is not weakness. It is courage. If the song inspires even one person to keep going, then it has done its job.

With strong academic training and international experience behind you, what continues to challenge or inspire you creatively?

What inspires me is growth. Education and experience are foundations, but they are not the finish line. I am constantly challenging myself to evolve vocally, creatively, and strategically. We never stop learning. I believe that evolution is essential, both in life and in art, and I hope my listeners can connect with that mindset as well.

As you enter this new era of your career, what does success look like for you now compared to when you first started?

When I first started, success felt like proving something. Now it feels more like sustainable growth and longevity. With increasing media attention and a growing audience, success to me is consistency, artistic evolution, and building something that lasts. It is about continuing to grow while staying grounded in who I am as an artist.
