Pigeon Opinion Featuring a Review of THE BREAK OF DAY by SLAPPER

“The Break of Day” is like an ode to 90s Ibiza, with lush pads, gentle build-ups, and an uplifting drop that perfectly meets at the intersection of sunrise and sentiment. SLAPPER goes all-in on his melodic trance sound here, recalling the emotional simplicity of artists such as Chicane and Robert Miles, while still retaining his nostalgic feel.
The track takes its time building, exchanging energy for atmosphere before exploding into an uplifting and somewhat cinematic finale. It’s not about big-room energy so much as that feeling of quiet triumph after a long night.
As an extension of the themes presented on “Waves” and “Follow Your Dreams,” it’s all very cohesive, genuine, and undoubtedly sincere.
