“Tapestry” by Fish And Scale is a beautiful and touching indie folk track that takes a dark subject and turns it into something uplifting and transcendent. The track compares to other folk artists such as Bon Iver and Ben Howard in its use of sound and starts off in a delicate and vulnerable way, using a child’s point of view and fear to create a beautiful and touching track that features imagery that is both touching and haunting, such as a yellow dog on hospital wallpaper.
As the track develops, it becomes a powerful and uplifting release that compares to the survival of the human spirit. The story that Roland Wälzlein tells in this track is both powerful and well-crafted in its use of both vulnerability and power. “Tapestry” is a touching track that rises above the rest as a powerful and touching story that is both honest and human.
