Stellacaster, a four-piece indie-rock band, is making a name for themselves in the North East music scene, having emerged from County Durham. The band is best known for their high-energy live shows, featuring a combination of indie classics from the ‘90s and original material, performed at venues such as The Cluny in Newcastle, INDEPENDENT in Sunderland, and festivals such as BishFest in the North East.

Stellacaster has a strong grassroots following, and to keep their fans interested, they are also available on Instagram (@stellacaster_) and Facebook, sharing updates and teasers related to their music and upcoming events. The band’s music is a blend of indie-rock with catchy hooks, and although they are still trying to make their online presence felt, their live shows indicate that they are a band with both talent and charisma.

Stellacaster is definitely a band to watch out for, as they are a local band with big ambitions and the energy to go with it.

Interview with Stellacaster

(^)> “You’ve built a strong following in the North East with your live shows — what’s the secret to keeping that energy on stage?”

We put our hearts into our live shows to show anyone watching we are a different level!

(^)> “Your set features a selection of indie classics from the ‘90s, as well as your own material. How do you choose what makes the cut for a gig?”

For the covers in general we try to keep them quite well known so we can include the audience as much as possible. For the original songs we try to keep in the style we all love which is obviously indie music.

(^)> “Social media is a big part of how bands connect with fans these days. How do Instagram and Facebook factor into your band’s story?”

We use all social media platforms that there is to try spread the word and get people on board to follow us and trust us to make unreal tunes and memories for them.

(^)> “You’re still building your social media presence — what’s been the hardest part in getting your music out there?”

We quite struggle with all the social media stuff as we’ve never really stuck ourselves infront of a camera before but we push on and try our hardest but we definitely need to step it up

(^)> “What are Stellacaster’s plans for the next year, both on stage and off?”

We are currently hoping to release our first song in summer along with merch and plenty more live shows which are bigger and better than our last!
