Pigeon Opinion Featuring a Review of GREEN APPLE by THE PINGERS

Green Apple is a scrappy, lightning-fast punk debut that throws conventional wisdom out the window in favor of raw, unfiltered chaos. In its 12 songs, totaling fewer than 20 minutes, The Pingers offer brief, snappy bursts of raw humor, raucous hooks, and reckless abandon that are akin to a backyard party on the verge of anarchic bedlam. Tracks like "It's Not Me, It's You!" and "Shit My Pants" go all-in on absurdity with reckless abandon, while "One More Beer" combines sugary hooks with brat-rock punk attitude. The recording is raw and no-frills, intentionally rough around the edges, allowing The Pingers’ personality, both mischievous and drunken, to shine through. It's not an album that's meant for subtlety but for having a fucking blast, and if you're in the mood for rowdy, punchy punk that doesn't take itself too seriously, Green Apple is a riotous good time.
