Pigeon Opinion Featuring a Review of Even Then by Strange Trigger

"Even Then" is one of those songs that show a definite progression in terms of sound design and composition, which can be attributed to hands-on experimenting with hardware synthesizers. This track has a very unique feel of being very intentionally put together compared to something you would usually hear online in the modern digital age. There's a lot of interesting instrumentation here, which adds some layers to the soundscape. Synthesizer textures are combined with a very mechanical rhythm and melodies performed using MIDI pianos that control the synths. Drums are programmed but still have that natural feel.

In terms of vocals, voice synthesis based on real voice input provides another level of uniqueness for this track that fits in well with its theme and sound. Overall, "Even Then" is one of those well-thought-out and executed indie-industrial pop releases that I'm happy to recommend.
