Pigeon Opinion Featuring a Review of Dragon Hentai Tears by William McLaughlin

"Dragon Hentai Tears," an experiment of sorts composed by William McLaughlin, is a raw expression of a man whose existence encompasses much more than his love of music. Created through a combination of glitch-like effects, distorted sounds, and an unpredicted structure, the work eschews all conventions of songwriting to follow a less restrained path.

It is not hard to identify the underlying concept behind this song as well as the artist himself, especially given the artist's creative approach that sees art as an embodiment of everything the artist encounters in life including musical influences. It comes as no surprise then that WGMC combines genres ranging from rock to electronic music in a unique composition of his own creation.

Instead of striving for perfection, which is often associated with predictability, the artist has opted to create an authentic and surreal expression of his own individuality. "Dragon Hentai Tears" might be quite polarizing among listeners, but in many ways it accomplishes precisely what it intended to do.
