ManWoMan Make Desire Sound Dangerous on “Love Punch”

The Seattle duo compress their “creepy tech doom lounge vibes” into a tightly coiled 3:42 single that lands somewhere between darkwave swagger and electropop menace.

Released March 6, 2025 on Violet Emotions Records, “Love Punch” follows the duo’s 2025 EP I and extends the lane they’ve been carving across recent singles operating in darkwave, doom, electropop, and sludge territory as a Seattle duo as a Seattle duo.

I hear “Love Punch” as ManWoMan at their most controlled and most ominous. They lean into tension. A sharp edge, and a mood that feels halfway between a nightclub glare and a basement crawl. The duo’s attraction to darkwave and electropop clearly still runs through the writing and it feels tightened into something industrial giving the hook its bite.
