The studio atmosphere, pieced together natively across home studios in Pōneke and Tāmaki Makaurau alongside close friends is fiercely organic. The production anchors itself with a fluid, rhythmic movement where the bassline and drums feel like a steady hand guiding you through choppy waters. What genuinely floors me, though, is how the songwriting handles mental turmoil. Bromwich’s vocal delivery is remarkably intimate, weaving deeply emotive lyrics with a raw, casual vulnerability that pairs brilliantly with modern, space-conscious guitar layers. When the track hits its slow-burning, cathartic crescendo, it weaponizes negative space to deliver an empowering reminder of resilience. It is an authentic, beautifully bruising piece of indie rock.
