During this eight-track collection, Waves Crashing effortlessly marries heavy distortion with infectious, crystalline pop melodies. The opener, "Feel The Glow" hooked me instantly with its soaring vocals and urgent basslines, while "Circles" channels the frustration of music industry exploitation through whirring noise-pop churn. For me, the true highlight is "Marine Garden," a lush seaside breather where seagull field recordings and jangly post-punk guitars evoke classic Cure and Wild Nothing. Beyond their stellar original songwriting, their dreamy, delay-drenched reimagining of Radiohead’s "Creep" feels completely earned, seamlessly fitting into the record's nocturnal atmosphere. By the time the five-minute finale "Next To Me" shifts from abrasive fuzz into quiet catharsis, Waves Crashing prove they are operating at the peak of their powers.

"In The Blur" is a deeply rewarding, immersive listening experience that I cannot recommend highly enough!
