BONNEVILLE LET THE HORSE RUN WILD

Bonneville find new momentum in the grit and glow of “Horse”. A muscular, open-ended turn from the Provo four - piece, where spacious indie rock meets distortion and a striking change in vocal perspective

The Provo, Utah four-piece is built around hazy guitars, patient arrangements, shoegaze textures and weightless songwriting. “Horse” keeps that sense of space, but it feels less interested in simply floating.

What stands out to me the most is the tension between the band’s gritty instrumentals and the Jack Rall's clear vocal presence. The guitarist takes the lead on “Horse”. The guitars and instrumental passages carry much of the emotional weight. Boneville sound increasingly comfortable on "Horse" leaving some space between the notes and letting that space speak.
