I’ve always thought a live cover only earns its keep if it reveals something a studio version can’t, and Bad Honey’s “I Got Mine (Live)” does exactly that. Released on April 10, 2026, the 5:34 single is the Seattle band’s latest Spotify entry, arriving after “Delta Sun” and “Hellbound,” and it reworks The Black Keys’ “I Got Mine” into something leaner and meaner.

What stands out to me is the discipline. Bad Honey let the riff stay blunt, the groove stay tense, and the live-room friction do the talking. That gives the performance a slightly ragged electricity that suits them. Bandcamp describes the group as a Seattle rock ’n’ roll band built on “searing guitars,” “pulsating rhythms,” and “heavy hooks,” and this release feels like a sharper, more concentrated expression of that identity.

For me, the best part is how confident it sounds without trying to sound polished. It feels like a Bad Honey staking out their own bruised, blues-fed lane.
