Review
I had never noticed the immense potential that Bob Dylan's lyrics had to accompany melodic daydreams until Texas Governor took the risk of bringing these folksy classics into a more hypnotic medium that was exceptionally well produced. Who would have thought that "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" (Freewhilin' Bob Dylan) would be enhanced by pedals and tons and tons of reverb that turn it into a more soothing song?! On the other hand, "Positively 4th Street" becomes more upbeat and the reinterpretation of "Simple Twist Of Fate", despite having its roots closer to the folk original, takes on new life with a charming duet. In short, The Texas Governor and premium guests make Bob Dylan's songs their own.
