Hey ROBERT VENDETTA, super nice to have the chance to chatwith you. First and foremost what got you into music?
- Likewise, thanks for having me. I guess the answer is my in two parts. My dad was a really good country singer, so there was always music around when I was akid. I never listened to children's music. So when I was asked to do a children'ssong at an audition when I was 11, I answered «I could do an Elvis song!» About the same time I discovered Michael Jackson and James Brown and my world changed. I knew there and then what I wanted to do; write music and entertain!
What’s your favorite album from David Bowie?
- Ooo, that’s a tough one. Let me look at my collection of all them Bowie albums and bootlegs. I used to think it was «Buddha of Suburbia» but now… Maybe«Blackstar» or «Heathen» or «Station to Station?»
Was Bowie a good actor?
- Have you seen «Merry Christmas mr. Lawrence?» In my opinion; sure he was.
What song from Michael Jackson bangs the most?
- He he, the questions are tough today. It changes from day to day. It’s easier to say my favorite album is «Off The Wall.» But let me think… «Anther Part Of Me, Music and Me, Who Is It or… Get On The Floor!»
Which release from James Brown was love at first sight?
-To be honest I don’t remember. But of course «Out Of Sight» must have been one of them. The first album I fell in love with was «Gravity,» but that was the first ever cassette I bought for my own money. I can still remember the smell. And of course when I heard «Hell» I knew the man was a genius!
What was the most exciting place that you visited in Mexico?
- Good question! Maybe Otatitlan in Vera Cruz, for its peace and almost no cars. Or Viborillas de Hidalgo, where I went to a traditional funeral and was told I was probably the first non-mexican to visit. Just being there for hours at this funeral, with mariachis coming and going, and a sort of catholic sermon mixed with cheerful music. And an open casket, and lots of cake! But of course I love Puebla and Isla Mujeres. Those are my two favoriteplaces in Mexico!
Do you know the difference between playing bass with a guitar pick and with your fingers?
- Yes I do! I’ve got a bachelor's degree in bass guitar, and I’m better with a pick or the thumb than I am with my fingers!
What was your reaction when you discovered that Piqué cheated on Shakira? Would you cheat on Shakira?
- No way! I would marry her on the spot if she asked me.
How is your body today?
- Today I got a full night's sleep so my body is quite happy.
Do you agree with the Pigeon?
- But of course!

Review
"Fool" is born in a luxurious salon where Robert's pano sits. Robert is on stage hitting the keys with an extraordinary precision that creates a romantic melody capable of breaking your heart. Vendetta's performance reaches extremely cinematic moments, especially when she confesses that she only wanted to apologize. We reach a climax that uses and abuses orchestral strings and intense percussion (which contrasts perfectly with the intimacy of the piano keys) to end this genuine song in great fashion!
The Pigeon added the new single to his Weekly Gems playlist on Spotify. You can check out the released music below. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow along so you can stay on top of future releases!
