ARTIST INTERVIEW: RICHARD GREEN

Review

In "A Place Called Home", Richard Green joins Irene Veneziano and Archimia to give us epic melodies built around light piano keys and heavy orchestral strings. This music is purely orchestral and melodic. It reminds me of the luxury and commitment achieved in something like Tindersticks' earlier work. "A Place Called Home" is an infinite natural luxury that pampers us with a bittersweet sunset supported by playful pianos, heavy violins, soft transitions and other melodic progressions that refuse to stagnate. The light of the place that makes you feel at home always has somewhere to go and promises to be an incredible piece to watch live, as the instruments find every possible way to enchant you again with the same texture. Highly subjective, but for me, A Place Called Home is a hymn to the sun for the company it always keeps us.
