Prokalim - Babylon
1. Cru cru Proklaim, are you taking inspiration from legen
dary artists in order to complete your short afrobeat project?
I usually get the most inspiration just from hearing the vast amount of beats available online today. The amount of beat talent today and the variety of types is broader than it has ever been before. I'm always amazed at the amount of talent. A great beat stirs me to want to create songs.
2. Why "When they reminisce over you " by Pete Rock and CL.Smoothe moves you to tears everytime you listen to it?
That song may not always move me to tears but it does evoke a lot. It's the fantastic beat with the trumpet/saxophone sample and finally the story that CL Smoothe tells on the song. It's vivid it's personal it paints a clear picture and one can tell his sentiment.
3. In your opinion, what makes a "banger"? What do you think of comtemporary bangers in general with millions of views and plays... do you think they used to be more poetic and complex?
A banger needs a hot beat a hot rap cadence and a great chorus...all put together it's the energy the total song carries.

I actually don't sing /rap in the shower I'm usually in thought or just focused on the task of taking a shower. Not exciting lol
