Review
"up and down" has an extremely modern production that borders on hyper-pop as it displays bombastic, skeletal and experimental properties that hyper-stimulate my ears with elements coming from all directions and senses. The artificial and audacious melody of "up and down" contrasts with the more delicate parts in which Mira displays all the splendor of her fragile voice where it descends into the caverns of her heart. Monsters lurk in these caves and we are constantly returned to the habitat of these imaginary beasts throughout the track. I want to highlight disconcerting refinements, like fingernails on a chalkboard, which bring elements of terror to this piece. I also have to appreciate the seamless fusion between the organic and the artificial in this song where Sthira turns into pure love!
