1. Hey Kristopher, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

Hey! Thanks so much for having me. My parents first got me into music. They had all me and all my siblings take music lessons and although I definitely hated the practicing and commitment at first, music eventually became a genuine escape for me.

2. What’s your favorite 70’s artist?

Probably Aretha Franklin. Her music was indescribably incredible.

3. What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next 5 to 10 years?

At the top of my mind are my albums. Hopefully in 10 years I have at least 5 projects under my belt, a family of my own would be nice to have by then… someday! I also would like to have regular live performances by then as well.

For now though, I try to live one day at a time. 5-10 years is pretty far out to think about.

4. Do you consider yourself a music fan?

Oh absolutely. I definitely have the genres I gravitate towards more often, but there isn’t much where I can’t at least appreciate the creativity or artistry within. Music is really my escape and is how I work through feelings and emotion. I’m familiar with a lot of theory and history but there’s of course always more to learn.

5. What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

I’ve worked in food service which was quite the experience and during my time at university I worked with student housing. Those jobs were wild because I could be working from midnight to 8am or housing conference groups from all around the world.

6. What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?

For me personally the biggest challenge is following that inspiration. Sometimes creativity isn’t consistent and you really have to be open when it happens, while not getting down on yourselves if you just aren’t feeling it. Good art can’t be forced.

7. Can you tell us a cringe memory of yours?

There’s so many… I once played a classical piece of music on my viola for a school talent show. I thought people would think it was so cool. I forgot that classical music is definitely an acquired taste.

8. Who is your inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is Ariana Grande. Her music, talent, perseverance, artistry, and confidence astound me. I have so much respect for the work she puts into her craft and am definitely inspired whenever I listen to her music or watch her interviews or performances.

9. Do you listen to podcasts?

Not really. I’ve only ever listened to one podcast that a friend introduced me to. It’s a bit NSFW but it is very funny in my honest opinion.

10. Do You Agree with the Pigeon?
