ARTIST REVIEW: KELSIE KIMBERLIN

Review

Kelsie Kimberlin's "We Are The Promise" opens in a truly cinematic coliseum with citizens in a realm so exaggerated it's like satire. The burning fires in the arena allude to the destruction of knowledge and art throughout history - unforgivable sins in the chronology of humanity committed by tyrants. Kimberlin's performance this time is accompanied by post-production effects that ensure this superstar acquires an omniscient, reverb-soaked robotic personality.

In this theatrical film, she is the voice of the people in unison and she is the voice of the revolution that challenges a regime of oppression, since they are the ones who save history, we are the story! After an absolutely electrifying guitar bridge, this short and campy film ends with her managing to escape in the most badass way imaginable: on a motorcycle driven by another revolutionary.
