Carson Ferris - FOMO
Cru cru, what first got you into music?
I have always loved music, and I like to say that I was born singing. But the first real step in my musical journey was when I started taking guitar lessons at the age of six. I had an amazing teacher that encouraged me to get more into music, and got me some of my first gigs.
2. What or who is your inspiration to create music?
My biggest inspiration for my music is my amazing family! They inspire me so much and have supported me every step of the way.
3. How do you feel the internet has impacted the music business?
The internet has changed the music industry in a lot of ways. Artist can share their music more easily, and you don't really need a record label anymore to get your music out there. So I think it's done a lot of good.
4. Will you tell us something embarrassing about you?
I used to have terrible stage fright. Right before I was supposed to go on for my first-ever performance, I was curled up in a chair crying because I was so anxious about performing.
5. How is your perfect day?
My perfect day would include sleeping in until 9, getting to eat pizza and ice cream, opening for OneRepublic at a concert, and doing something fun with family and friends.
6. What memorable responses have you had to your work so far?
Some memorable comments I've gotten include: “You were my dopamine fix for the day”, “Can you sign this dollar bill?”, and once after a show I was chased down in a parking lot by a girl who wanted my number.
7. Do you see yourself as a music nerd?
Oh absolutely. I have this music board game called Spontuneous, and no one ever plays it with me because I always win. (I’m also very competitive.)
8. What album do you replay the most?
The album I’ve listened to the most is probably either Journey's Greatest Hits, or Human by OneRepublic. Both are fabulous albums.
9. What's your favorite movie?
That's a tough question. I’d have to go with either Avengers: Infinity War, or Top Gun: Maverick.
10. Do you agree with the Pigeon?
Yes, I think the pigeon is correct on this issue, pizza and pineapple were a match made in heaven, and the 49ers will win the super bowl this year.
