1. Hey Carson Ferris, It's super nice to have the chance to chat with you again! First and foremost what got you into music?

Ive always loved music and been interested in it. I like to say that I was born singing. But I didnt really pursue music seriously until the pandemic, when I had a ton of time on my hands to deal with.

2. Can you describe a real-life situation that inspired you?

At the beginning of 2022, I was on my way to my producer's house, and my GPS said take the next left. For some reason, I sang that out loud, and it later became the first line of the bridge in my song Drive Alone.

3. What is the first thing you think of when you wake up?

I think, “I can’t see.” I have terrible vision, so I always put my glasses on, first thing.

4. What do you dislike about the art world?

I don't like that there are so many super-talented artists out there that no one has ever heard of, when they should be world-famous. I just don't understand it.

5. What are you focussing on right now?

I'm trying to focus on releasing music consistently right now.

6. What brings you the feelings of nostalgia?

There are certain songs that make me really nostalgic, like Remember This by jonas brothers or I'm Still Here by John Rzeznik.

7. Are you a fan of power pop bands? And which artists or records make you dance like a crazy person?

If anything by Journey or OneRepublic comes on, im gonna be on my feet and singing every word.

8. Which pop records would you recommend to me?

I really love pretty much anything by OneRupublic and Alec Benjamin. I also really like ed sheeran.

9. Is "1999" anthem?

I think 1999 could be described as an anthem. Its an anthem for people who ever feel like they don't belong somewhere and also for people who love 90s pop!

10. Do you agree with the Pigeon?

Yes, I think the pigeon is correct on this issue, pizza and pineapple were a match made in heaven, and the 49ers will win the super bowl this year.

"1999" immediately connects with the current and after a monumental electronic ascension introduces us to the infectious beats that make my feet constantly hit the floor to the rhythm of these extraordinarily captivating synthesizers. Carson's performance is also second to none! She seems to me to be an incredibly charismatic artist as she sings about trying to win back her romantic partner after a major falling out. The light balls and sweet vocals of "1999" is nostalgia in all its splendor with its pop that chews, pops and bursts like chewing gum, but doesn't get thrown away!

The Pigeon added the new single to his Weekly Gems playlist on Spotify. You can check out the released music below. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow along so you can stay on top of future releases!
