Artist INTERVIEW: BLOODTOOTH



1. Hey Bloodtooth, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?


Emily: thanks for having us. I guess My parents had a lot of Motown, R&B and Elvis records and i liked to listen to those when I was growing up. Then when I got to secondary school / high school and got more into art and illustrations; I got more into grunge and punk bands. Grunge and punk and alternative artists was refreshing because it was inspiring because the music sometimes showed beauty in imperfection, left field excursion and embracing being different. It felt like it was possible to express yourself, be a bit different and possibly become a artist.

2. Would you describe your perfect day?


Emily: Waking up and walking by the sea in the sun in the Mediterranean and then talking to the pigeon.


Luke: a summer breeze and a new prs guitar with a amp after swimming


3. What was the most difficult challenge you ever faced in your life?


Emily:Probably having 4 operations in the space of the last few weeks.


Luke: Having to put my dog down and watch her leave forever.


4. What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?


Emily: I think the challenge in being a artist now is having to think about the none traditional art of business and promotion. Thinking of yourself as a product. Having to think about over selling your own sacred personal thoughts or actions as for some to get strategy to remind people you still exist. As the world is obsessed with online celebrity persona. The art itself and expression doesn’t seem to be enough. But I think most artists just want to focus on making the art. But you also want your music to be heard. I think a lot of artist I know struggle with that.

5. What makes you different from others?


Emily: You tell me.


Luke: I’m the only person who has seen all the things I’ve seen and therefore thinks the way I think. Other people are similar but not quite the same.


6. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?


Emily: Pistachio


Luke: chocolate and fudge Ben and Jerry’s.


7. What do you think your role is in this world?


Emily: To make great music and killah videos.


Luke: to make stuff people stumble across and go hey that’s kinda cool.


8. If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?


Emily: Kavinsky


Luke: Yves Tumor


9. What’s your favorite movie?


Emily: Fight Club and the never ending story.


Luke: Crank


10. Do You Agree with the Pigeon?


Emily: I'm not sure what I'm agreeing to.


Luke: if it’s an actual pigeon. No I don’t agree with pigeon because they have tiny little brains. I don’t learn from pigeon learn from me.
