"My Christmas" starts off by enchanting me with dancing guitar riffs that put me right into a very dynamic Christmas spirit, even though it's July and the tarmac on the road is burning with the beating of the sun. Winters here reminds me of Rivers Cuomo of Weezer fame, but without the ironic part.Mark's youthful performance is incredibly sweet and reminds me of the innocence I used to have about Christmas when I was a kid. The nicest family dinner of the year, wishing strangers happy holidays, spreading love around town, etc. - I was as naïve as Charlie Brown and I have a huge nostalgia for that time. I also want to highlight the hopeful and cheerful melodies coming from a piano full of love that bring this single to the next level of festivities.
