ARTIST HIGHLIGHT: JOHANNA DADAP

Foto do escritor: PigeonPigeon

The elephant is gone and the birdskin wrote the song. Johanna enchants me with melodies that seem to value nature and animal life and a timbre disillusioned with her own kind. The baroque and melancholic violins along with the steady drums add even more tragedy and epicness to this song underpinned by gentle guitar chords sung in the middle of the bush. On the one hand, there is certainly a relaxing atmosphere in this single that makes me want to listen to it again and again looking at the sun, but on the other hand this inertia also perfectly reflects our impotence in dealing with the extinction of nature that we have always valued in books and poems. Thank you Johanna Dadap for showing me how hypocritical we are about our planet.
