Pink Floyd at Pompeii - MCMLXXII (2025)

10/10, Very few at this level

Maruja - Tír na nÓg (2025)

10/10, This could be a near-perfect conclusion to what is possibly the best trilogy of EPs of all time

Ethel Cain - Perverts (2025)

9 /10, An experience I'm unlikely to forget

Little Simz - Lotus (2025)

8/10, A bit all over the place, but Simbi’s still unmatched both in raw introspection and hitting hard with honesty

Panda Bear - Sinister Grift (2025)

8/10, Addictive ear candy

The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025)

8/10, Although stumbling a bit in its own length, Abel manages to craft a truly monumental modern pop spectacle

Cheekface - Middle Spoon (2025)

8/10, Death, taxes, and the annual Cheekface album

Horsegirl - Phonetics On And On (2025)

8/10, There’s something indescribably charming about this cute little indie record

Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong (2025)

8/10 , Daddy said I could

Clipping. - Dead Channel Sky (2025)

7/10, Not as consistent as the trio’s last couple of records, but still a handful of amazing tracks in here

Lady Gaga - MAYHEM (2025)

7/10, Unfortunately, it loses a lot of steam in its last leg, because the first run of songs on this one is unmatched

Jamie xx - In Waves (Deluxe) (2025)

7/10, Phenomeal first songs, but the rest is just really good

Lambrini Girls - Who Let The Dogs Out (2025)

7 /10, Amyl And The Sniffers from the UK, but they'll get to the yellow flannel first for sure

Beach Bunny - Tunnel Vision (2025)

7/10, This band continues to be one of the most solid power pop outfits out there right now

Ryan Adams - Another Wednesday (2025)

7/10, Some of these songs are actually great, it’s almost like he’s actually a good songwriter beyond all of these filler albums!

YAKUZA - 2 (2025)

7/10, Second full length LP from Lisbon's own jazz sorcerers, and its a Strong display of their creative prowess as well as the more industrial, psychedelic and often times left field soundscapes; certainly a force to be reckoned at the moment!

Richard Dawson - End of the Middle (2025)

7/10, Moody and richly detailed, although a lot of the variations and changes of key Dawson comes up with end up sounding more confusing than adding to the songs, in my opinion

Squid - Cowards (2025)

7/10, Shares a lot of good things with the band’s previous work, but slightly less consistent

Agriculture - Agriculture (2025)

7/10, The band’s not sounding yet as unique as their versatility, which leads me to the hope that they will achieve their full potential very soon (also their newest EP was phenomenal)

Rico Nasty - LETHAL (2025)

7/10, Way more versatile and controlled than what she usually offers us

venturing - Ghostholding (2025)

7/10, A Census Designated 2.0, only less consequential but more highlight-driven

Sharon Van Etten - Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory (2025)

7/10, It’s a good one!

HOMEGIRL! - MEAT HEAD (2025)

7/10, It has that lo-fi abstract NY vibe

Linda Martini - Passa-Montanhas (2025)

7/10, A very solid album from the group, but I leave with the impression that Linda Martini end up taking refuge in a relatively comfortable post-rock setting, rather than launching themselves forward

MIKE - Showbiz! (2025)

7/10, A minor version of Burning Desire

Madvillain - Madvillainy Demos (2025)

7/10, I listened to it just out of curiosity, in fact the more embryonic versions of these songs were already pretty phenomenal on their own, but there's only very little that would make it worthwhile over the original album

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU (DIRECTOR'S CUT) (DELUXE) (2025)

7/10, Crazy shit gets extended!

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet (Deluxe) (2025)

6/10, First song bops

Sam Fender - People Watching (2025)

6/10, It’s a decent enough imitation of the charming Springsteen sound, but I won’t be revisiting it, and I seriously hope this guy starts doing a bit more than just this in the future, because three albums now is more than enough

Ghost Mountain - October Country (2025)

6/10, Fun for what it is

LISA - Alter Ego (2025)

6/10, Debut album by BLACKPINK’s own LISA, and it’s fun, although there’s still work to do in order to fully blow

Joost - Unity (2025)

6/10, Eurovision babies, assemble!

Larry June, Chainz & The Alchemist - Life Is Beautiful (2025)

6/10, Chill beats with chill bars, maybe too much of itself for its own good

Westside Gunn - 12 (2025)

6/10, We reached a point where you already know exactly what to expect from a new Westside Gunn album before you even listen to it

Babytron - Song Wars EP (2025)

6/10, Fun not fancy free

Pink Siifu - BLACK’!ANTIQUE (2025)

6/10, BLACK’!ANTIQUE doesn't play entirely play to Pink Siifu's strenghts as an artist

horsegiirL - v.i.p. - very important pony EP (2025)

6/10, Straight outta da barn

Coast To Coast Split - Pain of Truth (2025)

6/10, Not as strong as Sunami’s last split EP, although still featuring some intense performances from both bands

The Body & Intensive Care - Was I Good Enough? (2025)

5/10, This is becoming routine

Courting - Lust For Life, or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story’ (2025)

5/10, This band remains the biggest disappointment in post-punk music of recent years

Spiritbox - Tsunami Sea (2025)

5/10, High budget production and the ambitious crossover between metalcore, pop, and electronica were seen from acts like Poppy and Code Orange; only the songs feel a bit calculated for a good infectious experience

Oklou - choke enough (2025)

5/10, I like the song with Bladee, and the vibes are cool, but it gets moving mostly on that, vibes and not much else

Twin Shadow - Georgie (2025)

4/10, A bit on the blander side

Central Cee - CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS (2025)

4/10, There is still sort of a narrative somewhere that portrays Central Cee as an actual relevant and interesting mainstream rapper, I hope someday to be able to agree with it

PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U (2025)

4/10, I can give you a huggie, Drake

Lil Baby - WHAM (2025)

4/10, At this point is already Lil Baby's average, but I wish we could have something that lived up to its potential, like just once in a while, for a change

SAYA - Saya Gray (2025)

4/10, Some cool alt-pop, but nothing too crazy

Ivandro - Trovador (2025)

4/10, Too bloated to make an impression

Sun Kill Moon - All The Artists (2025)

3/10, Please Mark, I'm begging you

Teddy Swims - I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) (2025)

3/10, Dude fell off

Tate McRae - So Close To What (2025)

3/10, Somebody else’s jam

LON3R JOHNY - LONDON LP (2025)

3/10, Two of the biggest mainstream voices in Portugal team up for what is a very average mainstream sounding rap tape

Miguel Luz - Ganga Com Ganga (2025)

3/10, He really thinks he’s onto something

Playboi Carti - MUSIC (2025)

2/10, Guys, I don't think I like music anymore

2/10, Will probably go down as one of the weakest collaborative albums of the year

Mizzy Miles - FIM DO NADA (2025)

2/10, The thing here is not just how bad this music is, because it is really generic crap. The thing is more about how much Mizzy gets overshadowed by his own features, which is surprising given how huge of a name he currently is in the Portuguese rap scene. For the most part this thing becomes a sort of compilation of trendy hits by the biggest names in Portugal at the moment and very little distinct qualities defining Mizzy as a compelling new voice in the industry

João Pedro Pais - Amigo Improvável (2025)

2/10, Who would win, daddy rock or mommy's adult contemporary?
