2011

Kendrick Lamar - Section. 80 (2011)

(•)> On his promising debut Kendrick Lamar shows that has something to say and stories to tell. Backed by strong beats and samples his nose delivers powerful bangers with a lot of social commentary to unpack making me reflect on racism, sexuality, drugs, and religion.

JAY-Z - Watch The Throne (2011)

(•)> Jay-Z and his younger brother invite premium guests to celebrate the legacy of the braggadocious siblings in this expensive victory lap. Unfortunately, this radio-friendly party is so underwhelming and outdated that the only highlight here is asking — who was in Paris?

Tyler, The Creator - Goblin (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

C418 — Minecraft - Volume Alpha (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Radiohead - The King Of Limbs (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Arctic Monkeys - Suck It and See (2011)

(•)> Arctic Monkeys' fall from grace continues with a really boring bland collection of songs saved only by Alex Turner's songwriting.

Frank Ocean - nostalgia, ULTRA (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

The Strokes - Angles (2011)

(•)> Underrated. It should've been more cohesive, but The Strokes' comeback is really nostalgic and fun to listen to!

Death Grips - EXMILITARY (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Danny Brown - xxx (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Ed Sheeran - + (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto (2011)

(•)> Coldplay hits rock bottom with the awful Mylo Xyloto: "A child that can't stop eating crayons"! Coldplay most comercial album ever falls into poor mainstream trends with millenium whoops, clichês and overproduced nostalgia.

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light (2011)

(•)> I'm not the biggest Foo Fighters' fan in the world (I outgrew them during college), but it's impossivle not to root for Dave Grohl and friends, since Nirvana's ex drummer must be the Keanu Reeves of the music world. Besides, I'm also a music nerd and a completist. My tiny tiny pigeon brain doesn't work if I have the curiosity to check out something and simply don't do it, so I'll listen to every single Foo Fighters' record known to men eventually. I'll get there. Yesterday, Wasting Light was quite decent, but as tedious and emotionless as their self - titled or "The Color and the Shape". Maybe it's a grower.

The Black Keys - El Camino (2011)

(•)> The Pacing of El Camino is miles and miles away from its predecessor, but truth be told it has enough highlights to be played while playing FIFA.

St. Vincent - Strange Mercy (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - I'm with You (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Grouper - A I A: Alien Observer (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

Blink-182 — Neighbourhoods (2011)

(•)> blink - 182's lack of chemstry and overblown vocal effects drain out the nostalgia and slightly more mature songwriting.

Metronomy - The English Riviera (2011)

(•)> Sunny afternoon with breezy hooks.

PJ Harvey - Let England Shake (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!

AJJ - Knife Man (2011)

(•)> Genuine AJJ keeps surprising with the least orthodoxe melodies and burning passionate performances making "Knife Man" their most cohesive and emotional experience to date.

Oneohthrix Point Never - Replica (2011)

(•)> new opigeon coming soon!!!
