The White Stripes - White Blood Cells (2001)
(•)> "White Blood Cells" shout bangers! It's a very volatile record. Jack White's guitar work and Meg White's drumming style function together as a spleen producing erythrocytes and leucocytes to my blood that is pumping through most of the record. He plays and shouts while she hits the drums like she's playing with pots and pans. On this record, I find dead leaves on the dirty ground, and then I fall in love with a girl while taking the elevator to Hotel Yorba. Meanwhile, I have a little room in Toledo waiting for me. Furthermore, the softer tunes such as "We're Going To Be Friends" contrast well with the more powerful songs. Overall, "White Blood Cells" is an artsy win for minimalism and garage rock.
